Dr. James Lussier

James Lussier, DDS, completed his studies at UTSA in 1996, earned his Doctoral at UTHSC-SA in 2000, and Postdoctoral Certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio in 2008.  He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

 

Dr. Lussier retired from the Army in June 2015 after a 28 year career.  He served in military intelligence in Germany. He deployed for Operation Desert Shield/Storm with the 3rd Armored Division. He then joined the U.S. Army Special Forces and served as a Medical Sergeant.

After commissioning in 2000, Dr. Lussier completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at Fort Carson, Colorado and served as the Dentist in the 10th Special Forces Group. He deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) in 2003.  Following a four year OMS residency, he served at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany; Fort Knox, Kentucky; and Fort Carson. 

 

In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, skiing, traveling as well as spending time with his children.

 

Dr. Lussier welcomes the opportunity to take care of you and your family’s oral surgery needs by providing a friendly and competent community based Oral Surgery service to Kerrville and it's surrounding communities.
